Sensory Overload
A short, three chapter comic portraying three different mental health struggles, as well as coping mechanisms for those struggles. The comic was riso printed with three different colors at the California College of the Arts Flatlab in San Francisco, California. Inside the comic you will find illustrations made of two to three colors. Each layer of color was hand-drawn separately (in pencil), scanned, and used as a negative to print on the riso printer. You will also find type that was set in Adobe InDesign to accompany the illustrations. Each chapter of this comic portrays events based on the real-life experience of the artist. They hope the comic can be a starting off point for a bigger project that can show people struggling with mental health that they’re not alone and there are ways to cope.
